The House: Built of granite in 1921 and still owned by the Duchy of Cornwall. We have in recent years altered the house to a small comfortable, tastefully decorated and furnished Bed & Breakfast with 3 bedrooms. A double and a twin bedded room with wonderful sea views and private facilities and a large room, the Junior Suite, with ensuite facilities and overlooking the garden and the flower farm beyond. The beds and bedding are of notably high quality. Our sitting room is available to guests at all times and has a cosy open fire on those cold spring and autumn evenings. The house decor features much original local art and there is a well stocked bookcase to browse through.
The quality of our accommodation, facilities and great breakfasts is reflected in the many years we have carried a 4 Star, Silver Award the standards of which we will continue to maintain
Your Hosts: Andy has lived and worked in the islands for over 50 years. His experience encompasses yacht skipper, deputy harbourmaster, Duchy of Cornwall boatman (including for Prince Charles, Princess Diana and the boys) and looking after the Island's water supply. Patti is a relative newcomer with 30 years on Scilly. She was well known in the 80's for her albums of hauntingly beautifull folk songs of the Islands and island life which she wrote and recorded. Running a successful B&B has kept her busy most of these last many years!
We hope our wide perspective of island life will help you to make the most of your time on our islands - if we don't know the answer to your question, we know a man who will!
