Glenhope - Bryher
This traditional Scillonian granite cottage is next door to Glenhope High, and is ideal for couples and families. Situated on the western side of Bryher, a stone’s throw away from Great Porth Beach and close to Hell Bay Hotel.
This traditional Scillonian granite cottage was newly refurbished for the 2014 season, after being our family home for almost 10 years. The cottage was the location for Gracie’s house in the film ‘When the Whales Came’ and offers high quality, comfortable accommodation with a wide range of facilities. It’s old cottage charm has been retained in the beams and original stone fireplaces.
Glenhope has one double bedded room and one twin bedded room, both with views over Great Porth beach towards Samson Hill. Downstairs is a living – dining room, with comfy leather sofas and cosy reading nook. The kitchen has an American style fridge freezer with ice maker and water cooler, plenty of cupboard space and built in applicances. The newly fitted full bathroom is fully tiled and has a shower over the bath.
Glenhope has its own private area within the large garden, as well as a secluded seating area to the front of the cottage. A large communal lawn shared with next door Glenhope High has a set of swings for the children if they get bored with the beach and the freedom of island life!
Dogs are most welcome.
Open all year. Closed for the Christmas and New Year period, 19 December 2018 - 9 January 2019.
