Banfield’s Holiday Flats: ‘Top Deck’ (flat featured), Midships’, ‘Quarter Deck’ and the ‘Flatlet’, are all two person flats fitted out to a high standard, providing you with comfortable accommodation, close to the town centre and the quay. Located opposite the Museum in Church Street, the flats are close to the shops, pubs, restaurants, and quay. The house was originally built for a member of the famous, Scillonian, ship-building family of Edwards, in the 1830’s. Taken on in 1993, and subsequently converted, Roger & Kathy now offer three self-catering flats equipped to a high standard. A fourth, studio flat, with its own small garden, is also available, on ground level and accessed from Buzza Street.
Top Deck - provides two person accommodation in the carefully converted ‘attic’ of the house. The room is relaxing, with a light and airy feel, high vaulted ceilings and characteristic beams. Separate kitchen and shower rooms. Thursday change-over day.
On entering the flat at first floor level, there is a flight of stairs leading to a small landing with doors to the lounge and to the shower room. The built-in combined washing machine and tumble dryer is accessed on this landing.
The small shower room, opposite the lounge, contains the toilet, wash basin and electric shower. There is an electric heated towel rail, mirror and shaver point.
This is a “quirky” flat with all rooms built into the roof space of the building. The ceiling, in the lounge/dining/bedroom, follows the roof line and exposes the large roof rafters making the room feel light and airy. The main room is equipped with a drop leaf dining table and chairs, two swivel easy chairs with foot stools, a 5’ double bed with bedside cabinets and table lights. The room lighting is via switches and dimmers making it very versatile. There is a 24” flat screen television with Freesat-plus box, and a DVD player. Books and a music centre are also available. Heating is provided by a portable electric convector heater.
A small, separate kitchen is equipped with electric oven, electric ceramic hob,microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge. For your convenience, there is an iron and ironing board, and, if the summer is hot, a circulating fan.

- All linen (except beach towels) provided.
- Each flat has their own clothes washing, drying, and ironing facilities.
- All flats have a fully fitted and well equipped kitchen – microwave oven, ceramic hob, electric oven, refrigerator etc.
- All flats have a "freesat-plus" satellite box, and a DVD player in the lounge. Other rooms have a "freesat" box.
- Free fibre broadband WiFi access included. There is a USB charging socket.
- All are equipped with personal video recorders - so you can keep up with your favourite programmes.
- Close to Museum, Shops, Pubs and Restaurants. The quay is about 10 minutes walk away.

Prices: 2019 - Top Deck:
30th March to 15th June - £455 per week.
22nd June to 24th August - £470 per week.
31st August to 14th September - £455 per week.
21st September to 19th October - £395 per week.

Top Deck – is accessed from Church Street, via two steps, and is on the second floor. There are two flights of stairs, with half-landings.
Midships – is accessed from Church Street, via two steps, and is on the first floor. There is one flight of stairs, with a half-landing.
Quarter Deck – is accessed from Church Street, via two steps, and is located at ground floor level, with stairs to a basement bedroom and bathroom.
Flatlet - is accessed from Buzza Street, and is at ground floor level, with a one step variant.
