Standing Stone and Standing Stone Terrace - St. Mary's

Self Catering - Dog friendly | Sleeps 4

Standing Stone and Standing Stone Terrace are two adjoining houses lovingly converted from late 19th Century buildings. They are set in a large, shared garden with some sunny corners for reading or sunbathing on loungers. Two miles from Hugh Town, they allow for a 40 minute meander round the coastal path, happily encountering Juliet's Garden Restaurant and Bar en route!

Additional Information

The Seaways Farm holiday houses are all family run and these two are set on the farm amongst the flower fields, which makes spring and autumn holidays particularly appealing. Standing Stone, the larger of the two houses, has a big master bedroom (5' bed) with a bathroom (including bath) en suite, plus a comfortable sofa bed in this room for any extra children. When not in use for sleeping it is just an attractive sofa. There is a twin room all done in restful creams with a shower room next to it. The bedrooms are downstairs to allow for the living rooms to take full advantage of the unrivalled position on the coast and the magnificent views afforded from the house and also from the roof terrace, set with garden furniture. The kitchen is open plan so that whoever is doing the cooking can chat and still see the view. The dining table is in the large, airy conservatory, which expands the feeling of space and freedom.

Standing Stone Terrace, next door, is slightly smaller but has a bigger, ground level conservatory, also housing the dining table - perfect for watching the sun set during supper. This leads to a big private terrace, still enjoying the peace and the view. The welcoming sitting room has plenty of seating, and again, the kitchen is open plan for sociability. Two beautiful houses for a restful, quiet and slightly intrepid holiday.
