Winter on Scilly

Throughout the winter, you can really hunker down in our little island oasis in the Atlantic. Live like a local and explore Scilly in its many differing lights... we get often get spectacular seas as huge waves roll in off the Atlantic, combined with stunning cold (but not too cold), calm quiet days - just perfect for long coastal walks and cosy evenings in the pubs. Our skies are dramatically dark too, so an excellent location for a spot of stargazing.

You can also visit Scilly's flower farms from the end of September through to March and enjoy the wonderful aromas of scented narcissi grown in tiny fields across the islands. They're hand-picked, graded and packed all the way through to early March.

So come and embrace the close-knit community and island life. Take a look below at the number of hotels, self-catering accommodation and B&Bs that are open throughout the year. You can fly to Scilly year-round from Land's End or Newquay with Isles of Scilly Travel.
