The Free to View Black Pearl Aquarium is located at Bryher Boatyard and was constructed in 2013 to show visitors some of the fish species local to Scilly. Constructed from discarded panels from Bryher’s fresh water tank it measures 4ft x 4ft x 16ft and contains 8,200 litres of salt water and weighs over 8 tones.

Species include Pollock, Wrasse, Mackerel, Crab and Lobster. All are released back into the sea when the tank is decommissioned for the winter.
