What's On 2021
Please note, this information will be updated as and when we know more about what events will be taking place in 2021. Below gives you an idea of what you can expect.
There’s always a good reason to visit the Isles of Scilly. Events have been disrupted for this year, but don't let this stop you from reinventing your 2020 break, and exploring the magic of these perfectly formed islands. Browse our Things To Do page for everyday Scilly magic!
Restorative Wild Yoga, Sunrise Meditation and Dark Skies Walks, Trail Runs, invigorating sea swims and adventure yomps across the boulders all designed to shake off the winter blues and refresh your mind, body and soul.
July and August we leave it to you to enjoy – kayaking, sailing, coasteering, sea-swimming, snorkelling, island hopping, fishing or simply soaking up the island hues and vistas, coupled with the island fetes.
Throughout the entire month of September and October Scilly becomes a bird watching hotspot! Island hop your way around, and venture out to remote uninhabited islands designed to capture nature in action.
Whilst Taste of Scilly isn't happening this September, you can still sample your way around the islands for delicious and distinctive fayre, so local you can often point to the fisherman or farmer that’s hooked it or grown it. From Scillonian shellfish, a plethora of takeaway options, both distinct to local culture as well as flavours from further afield, market stalls and pop-up honesty stalls, which you can purchase on site and savour back at your holiday lodgings.
Then throughout October, we are hoping to welcome Wild Scilly back (sister event to Walk Scilly in April). This is the time of year to enjoy Scilly’s incredible autumnal hues, migrating birds and wildlife, as well as our stunning coastlines and landscapes, fields of budding narcissi and swathes of empty spaces. Watch this space!
The inauguration of Dark Skies Week has now been pushed back to 2021, concentrating on our amazing, unpolluted dark skies and the new community observatory on St Martin’s. Join them for some twinkly star-gazing nights, guest speakers, meteor showers and more. In the meantime, turn your night vision on for a personal exploration - the night skies have never looked so sparkly.
