Verwen uw smaakpapillen! 

Op de Scilly-eilanden weten ze wat lekker is. U zit hier goed voor heerlijk lokaal ijs, mals rundvlees, royale verse krab, lekker smeuïge cake, lokaal gekweekte groenten en speciale bieren en wijnen. De eilandbewoners zijn dol op goed voedsel en proberen mooie maaltijden dan ook altijd in het zonnetje te zetten, met name tijdens het jaarlijkse Tresco & Bryher Food Festival. 

Er valt dan op alle eilanden van alles te proeven. Als u een of misschien zelfs twee weken op de Scilly-eilanden verblijft, kunt u elke dag uit eten in een nieuw restaurant - als u dat wilt, natuurlijk! 

Of u nu wilt genieten bij een mooi uitzicht, de sfeer in een knusse pub wilt proeven, dineren bij zonsondergang of in de buitenlucht, de eetgelegenheden op Scilly stellen nooit teleur. Ziet u het wel zitten om te werken voor uw maaltijd? Ga dan met een boot de zee op om uw eigen maaltijd te vangen of sla aan het foerageren op het strand. 

Bij de boerenkraampjes aan de rand van de weg vindt u niet alleen vers fruit en verse groenten, maar ook jam, marmelade, zelfgemaakte fudge, kakelverse eieren en nog veel meer. Neem wel wisselgeld mee. Bij veel kraampjes staat geen verkoper, maar kunt u het geld gewoon achterlaten. Op St Mary’s worden er regelmatig boerenmarkten gehouden. Meestal vinden die plaats in het gemeentehuis.

We're a family owned and run business where old traditions still hold. The Taylor family started making fudge twenty years ago on our farmhouse kitchen Aga. At Veronica Farm, on Bryher on the Isles of Scilly, we now have a purpose built fudge kitchen - still using traditional farmhouse methods.
