A Supper Safari with a Scilly Twist
Join us for a special, one-off experience this September when Taste of Scilly takes 12 lucky diners on an evening extravaganza with a twist: the island’s first ever Island Hopping Supper Safari. And now, because the first evening on 12th September sold out in a matter of hours, we've added one more date (only) - Saturday 15th September.
So what's this exclusive evening all about?
Simply speaking, diners will enjoy Scilly-style evening aperitifs, starter, main course and pudding at idyllic locations on different islands whilst chaperoned island to island across the archipelago on a private boat charter.
Limited to just 12 people, this enchanting Scillonian experience starts at 6pm with a sundowner prosecco or local gin & tonic on the ramparts at Star Castle Hotel high up on the Garrison on St. Mary’s with its amazing views, before you leave by private boat charter for the island of Bryher. You’ll be chaperoned across the shimmering blue waters in Sea Quest, Scilly’s glass-bottomed boat, so look out for a mini underwater adventure on route!
On Bryher, you’ll be met by Mark Pender of Island Fish, the UK’s Shellfish Fisherman of the Year, and sister Amanda, who will give a brief talk about shellfish fishing and preservation on the Isles of Scilly before you tuck into your starter course of delicious potted crab, hand caught by Mark and picked by Amanda that very day.
Then back on your boat, as the sun dips away on the horizon, you’ll head over to the beautiful island of Tresco and to the Flying Boat Bar & Bistro for your sumptuous main course – a choice of Fillet of Tresco beef or grilled Bryher lobster – both accompanied with delicious sides, before boating back to St. Mary’s after dark for the pudding or cheese board finale back at the Star Castle.
All the courses will showcase the very best of Scilly’s enviable local produce and will be matched with selected fine wines.
If this exclusive evening appeals to you, then book now, by calling the Tourist Information Centre on 01720 620600 or emailing email@example.com Bookings will be taken on a first come, first served basis.
Sorry, but we cannot reserve a place without taking payment. Any requested refunds will be given provided we can re-sell your tickets (or of course if any inclement situation prevents the evening from going ahead).
