Never a dull moment
If you’re looking for things to do on Scilly, you won’t have far to search. From dawn till dusk (and later if you like) there are awe-inspiring sites, amazing sporting activities, wonderful galleries and craftshops to browse, unique attractions and fabulous places to eat.
Whether you are visiting for the first or the 40th time, there’s plenty to see and plenty to do. In fact, the more you peel back the layers of these fascinating islands, the more you will discover.
If you’re seeking action and thrills, there are plenty of Activities to seek out - you can dive, sail, kayak, windsurf, paddle board, horse ride, explore on mountain bikes and take part in organised sea-swims, to name a few activities. You can Walk & Hike, Cycle, Shop and of course enjoy Boat trips and Tours that will enable you to soak up the islands' atmosphere, our unique archaeological sites and our extraordinary Wildlife.
There is also a varied and vibrant Events programme throughout the season, kick-starting with Walk Scilly week and the Scilly Folk Festival, both in April. Then we have the famous World Pilot Gig Championships held every year during the first Bank Holiday in May.
Throughout the spring, summer and autumn, there are island fetes, RNLI days, plus music, sports and food festivals. Numerous Scillonian bands also entertain at the pubs and clubs year round. In short, there is something for everyone if you like to be entertained. And if you don't? Well, it's just as easy to slip away from it all to relax and recharge.

Scented Narcissi: The Blue Box Flower Company. We send boxes of beautifully Scented Narcissi grown on the flower farms of St Mary’s and St Agnes. Hand-picked and lovingly packed with care in midnight blue boxes. Deliver a little bit of Scilly by courier to you and your friends.
Serving the islands' newspaper, magazine and periodical requirements since 1904. Confectioner, stationer, tobacconist and bookseller - including Scilly's longest running publication "The Scillonian". Scilly's only National Lottery outlet. The Paper Shop receives the daily papers around 11am, and also stocks popular magazines and games and goodies for children.

Throughout the season, every day of the week, there are a whole host of guided tours on Scilly from which to choose, both on and around the islands. From island walks and archaeological explorations to wildlife and marine excursions, and sunset trips, you’ll be able to delve into Scilly’s past and learn more about our natural habitat and wildlife, our culture and our lifestyle.
Kings of the Castle is an all weather indoor play and party venue, with a multi level soft play frame, a separate ball pool, a dedicated baby and toddler area and a cafe. All areas have age appropriate equipment children to explore the area at their own pace whilst you sit and relax. Appropriate for children aged 8 and under.
Scilly Walks is run by Dr Katharine Sawyer and offers guided walks, boat trips and slide shows to introduce you to 8000 years of archaeology and history in the Isles of Scilly. There are full day and half day visits to all the inhabited and several of the uninhabited islands.
A co-operative of seven local artist and craftspeople working on the little Business Park at Porthmellon. Work includes paintings, printmaking, leather work, stained & fused glass, jewellery and fabric painting and printing. There is a gallery of work by more local artists upstairs. Computer and printer available for public use, or free WiFi if you have your own phone or tablet. Classes for children & adults are also available. (see activities page for more details)
