The Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust - St. Mary's
Scilly's Wildlife is varied and everchanging; from the resident Scilly Shrew and Atlantic Grey Seals to the migratory swallows and puffins. Whatever you're searching for why not join one of our team on a Wildlife excursion or guided walk and discover Scilly's wild side.
The Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust is a local independent charity which looks after more than 60% of the islands through the help of volunteers, grants, donations and legacies. The Trust look after the paths (last year we cut 17 miles of Scilly paths, THREE times) and ancient monuments and restore and maintain habitats for the benefit of people and wildlife, on both the habited and uninhabited islands.
During the summer months it is possible to join one of our team on walks and boat journeys to discover a little more about the smaller resident and migrant visitors of Scilly. Find out more about the seals, dolphins, porpoise and puffins; be amazed by the diving gannets and common terns; maybe even see some of the more bizarre creatures that visit our islands from sunfish to goose barnacles.
Our regular activities include Tresco Walks (in partnership with Tresco Island) on Tuesdays throughout the summer months and Wildlife Safaris (in partnership with St Agnes Boating) on Wednesdays throughout the the summer months.
