To St. Mary's
Onward connections when you arrive
St. Mary's is the transport hub for the Isles of Scilly, with both the Isles of Scilly Airport and the Quay located on the island.
From the airport, shuttle buses meet each and every flight that will take you to your chosen accommodation on St. Mary’s. Or, if you're staying on one of the other islands, they'll transfer you down to the Quay (5 minutes away) to catch the boat to your particular island. The drivers hover in the Arrivals Hall and are very happy to help. Simply tell them where you are going, and they will take you there for a small fare. Alternatively, you can pre-book taxis to meet you from your flight for your onward travel with Clipper Cabs, DJ Cabs or Toots Taxi.
If you're staying on Tresco, and have booked your holiday through Tresco Island, there is a special Tresco Shuttle to whisk you from the airport down to the quayside and on your way!
For those arriving by boat on the Scillonian III, there is a luggage delivery service (for a small fee) on St. Mary's for pre-labelled bags. This means that when you disembark on the Quay, you can simply head off without having to hang around waiting for your bags. Your luggage will be dropped at your accommodation within the hour. Taxis are permitted on the Quay so if you don’t fancy the walk to your accommodation, you can book ahead and they will be there to meet you. Clipper Cabs, DJ Cabs or Toots Taxi.
If you are heading from St. Mary’s to an “off island”, scheduled boat services to St. Agnes, Bryher, St. Martin’s and Tresco meet each Scillonian III sailing and take passengers onwards to their final destination. Your luggage is automatically transferred to the relevant off-island boats – provided it has the colour-coded luggage tags attached (red for St. Martin’s, blue for Tresco, yellow for St. Agnes and green for Bryher). These luggage tags (none required for St. Mary’s) are handed out when you check in at Penzance.
