Scilly puffin

Puffins have been spotted on Scilly for the first time this year, heralding the start of the puffin's annual Scilly adventures. Between 100 and 200 pairs come and nest on eight of the uninhabited islands around the Western Rocks, including Annet, from the end of April to mid July. There are numerous boat trips laid on to allow you to get up close to these delightful birds, some with on-board guides so that you can learn more about the breeding habits of these magnificent auks.
