St. Martin’s – a true island paradise where crystal-clear waters, idyllic beaches, and a peaceful atmosphere make every visit unforgettable. Marked by its iconic red and white Daymark, built in 1683, St. Martin’s is the first island you’ll spot as you sail from the mainland.
Though just two miles long, St. Martin’s boasts some of the best beaches in the UK. Explore the rock pools at Lawrence’s Bay, swim in the turquoise waters of Par Beach, or relax on Bread and Cheese Cove, Great Bay, and Little Bay. The island’s heathery cliff paths reveal stunning sea views, vibrant wildflowers, and rare birdlife, while nearby islets like Nornour, Ganilly, and Menawethan offer the chance to spot playful Atlantic grey seals.
Beyond its stunning scenery, St. Martin’s, Isles of Scilly, is home to a friendly and creative community of around 120 residents. Visitors can explore the island’s flower farm and vineyard, go snorkelling with seals, stargaze at Scilly’s only observatory, browse a local jewellery studio, enjoy fresh treats from the artisan bakery, or discover unique artwork at the island gallery showcasing local talent.
The St. Martin’s Store, off licence, and post office provide everything you need for a perfect stay, with delivery available to your accommodation. Plus, you’ll find cosy cafés, eateries and a charming pub serving delicious lunches, cream teas, and local produce.
