Your journey to the Isles of Scilly is where your adventure begins. A scenic flight or leisurely sail gets you to this stunning sub-tropical archipelago that’s a world away from the rest of the UK. It’s so easy to visit and small enough to appreciate its incredible beauty and rich island heritage in just one day.
Treat yourself to a day to remember: Sail from Penzance or fly from Land’s End, or book the Fly + Sail ticket, both with Isles of Scilly Travel. Or fly with Penzance Helicopters from Penzance Heliport.
Set sail on board Scillonian III passenger ferry from Penzance. Soak up stunning views of Cornwall’s quaint villages, the world-famous open-air Minack Theatre and the Land’s End peninsula along the way. More often than not, the ship is joined by pods of dolphins, a raft of seabirds and occasionally even the odd basking shark or whale. Enjoy comfy, reclining seats, an on-board café and free WiFi. Dogs are very welcome!
Enjoy stunning aerial views of the Cornish coastline as you take off, spot lighthouses and ships, then enjoy that magical feeling as you catch your first glimpse of the stunning Isles of Scilly archipelago. For more time on the islands, why not book a Fly+Sail day trip? For more information, visit islesofscilly-travel.co.uk
A helicopter day trip to the Isles of Scilly gives you the whole day to explore the islands and an utterly unique helicopter experience. Flying to either St. Mary’s or Tresco, the whole archipelago is within easy reach. You can even fly into one island and back from the other for a true island-hopping day adventure. Your dog can join the adventure too.
The journey is as memorable as the destination; on your outward journey you’ll soar over Mount's Bay and the Cornish coastline before striking out for the islands on the horizon. On the return journey, a different route takes you along the ruggedly beautiful south Cornish coast, passing iconic views, including the Minack Theatre and sparkling sands of Porthcurno and finally back into Mount's Bay passing St. Michael's Mount.
Both options include a 5kg luggage allowance – perfect for a small day pack. Don’t forget your camera! Visit penzancehelicopters.co.uk/daytrips.
