The Isles of Scilly Tourist Information Centre has a wealth of useful maps, books and guides at its fingertips.
Maps & Guides - pick up the official Visit Isles of Scilly Visitor Map Guide which retails at £2. It includes detailed maps of all the islands, top tips, boating times, essential information on what to do and see, places to eat, walking routes - essentially all the information you need to make the most of your island-hopping experience. There are also several books about the history of the islands, local birds, shipwrecks, wildflowers and more.
Gifts & Souvenirs - this is the perfect place to buy exclusive Isles of Scilly-branded souvenirs and gifts including bags, t-towels, mugs and beach towels, magnets, keyrings and notebooks. Planning a week of island-hopping? Be sure to take advantage of the St. Mary's Boatmen's Association discount. Purchase 10 or more tickets in advance and enjoy a 10% saving on your fares!
You can also buy tickets for the islands' main events and festivals and theatre company performances.
The Isles of Scilly Tourist Information Centre on Porthcressa's lovely promenade is very accessible. For those using pushchairs and wheelchairs (RADAR key available for disabled toilet), there are easy ramps up to the front door which is power-assisted. With plenty of accessibility information about attractions and businesses across the islands too, pop by and ask your questions - dogs welcome too!
Here’s an Access Statement for the TIC building. Introduced in 2018 and updated in 2022 following VisitEngland guidelines, it's continually updated to provide the latest information. If we've missed anything, please let us know so we can improve it for everyone.

* Please note the TIC is closed from November to April. The TIC can still be contacted by emailing info@visitislesofscilly.com or calling 01720 620 600 over the winter months. Phone messages will be checked on a regular basis and responded to.

If you have any special needs - access, dietary, family etc - please do let them know... again they are well versed on all the options available to you.
We're located within the Schiller Shelter at Porthcressa Beach. From St. Mary's Quay, head through Hugh Town and where the road divides, take the right-hand option after Hugh Street Café. Ahead of you, you'll spot the building with a living roof and public toilets below.
