Amelie Film Promotion for St Martin's Film Festival

St Martin's is to play host to a Film Festival on Scilly from 3rd to 5th October. The event has been organised by the island-based event promotor Torn & Frayed together with the Sevenstones Inn, where the screenings will take place.  The festival kicks off on Friday evening with the all-time classic "Some Like it Hot"; on Saturday evening you can catch another classic, Withnail & I; and on Sunday evening it's the turn of the sensational French film, Amelie.  On Saturday afternoon, children will be able to watch When the Whales Came, a beautiful film based on the Michael Morpurgo book "Why the Whales Came".  The film is set on Scilly and featured a number of local actors (some still living here!). On Sunday afternoon, it will be turn of local flim makers as curator Robin Browne shows a number of shorts from around Scilly. Sevenstones Inn will be providing great food, drinks from the bar, pizza for the kids and popcorn!
