Holy Vale, a beautiful wooded valley in the heart of St Marys, has a sheltered micro-climate a few degrees warmer than elsewhere on St Marys, as evidenced by the abundance of flowering shrubs and palms. Its sheltered slopes have in recent years been planted with grape vines, and the farmhouse is now surrounded by vineyards in the heart of Scilly’s winemaking area. Holy Vale Farmhouse isperfectly located for some of the best walks on St Marys.

Originally the farmhouse for Holy Vale Farm, occupied by the Banfield family for generations (who still live in Holy Vale), the property was substantially re-built and extended during the winter of 2011/12 with the intention of creating a holiday home of the highest possible quality.

A four-seater golf buggy is offered as a courtesy to our guests, allowing you the opportunity to explore the island in comfort and style. Bicycles can also be hired, or the community bus stops within 100 metres of the house.

The tariff includes Wi-Fi, electricity and central heating, and all linen and towels. The property is strictly non-smoking.

Courtesy Buggy: The golf buggy is provided as a courtesy to our guests free of charge, petrol excluded. It is offered to help our guests enjoy the farmhouse's lovely rural location, but should not be relied upon by those who have mobility difficulties. Whilst we always endeavour to ensure it is available, it's use does not form part of the rental agreement. In the event it is out of service or otherwise unavailable, no discount on the tariff can be given.

Our road-legal buggy has four seats, and therefore cannot accommodate more than four persons (children or adults) at any time. It is not suitable for infants who require a child seat, because it only has lap straps, not full seat belts. It is strictly for use on tarmac roads, and off-road use or use on unmade tracks is strictly prohibited.
