About

Polreath is a small and friendly, family-run, 4 star silver award bed and breakfast, situated in a stunning garden setting on the beautiful island of St. Martin’s. With delicious home-cooking, far-reaching sea views, comfortable bedrooms, and friendly hosts, this is just a taste of what’s to come when you stay at Polreath.

Every morning you can look forward to a hearty breakfast cooked fresh to order and served in our light and airy conservatory. Choose from vanilla infused prune compote with Cornish natural yogurt, porridge with thunder and lightning followed by the full English or maybe just eggs from our chickens, poached and served with pan fried back bacon.

Three nights a week, Jason produces superb evening meals, offering you the best of home-grown and locally sourced produce. Dine in our light and airy conservatory, al fresco in the garden amongst the tree ferns or in our traditional Scillonian glasshouse under the 100 year old vine, surrounded by banana plants, home grown basil and red hot chilli peppers. On Friday nights Jason cooks exclusively for you, usually local fish.  Monday night is Curry Night and popular with the locals, Thursday night is the best of traditional British cooking and if you stay with us in April, Jason will cook you an evening Sunday roast too. As we are licensed, why not enjoy a pre-dinner gin and tonic followed by a bottle of local wine with your meal.

Our locally renowned Tea Room is open most days for morning coffee, delicious home-baked cakes, freshly prepared lunches, afternoon cream teas and Moomaid ice cream.

Just five minutes walk from Par Beach and Higher Town Quay, Polreath is the ideal base for island exploration.
