A design studio set up over a decade ago with a silver shell range, has grown through commissions and personalised pieces each year. Born from the offcuts of sails in 1987, each useful item is made by hand and range from sturdy canvas bags, jackets, smocks and boating accessories in a selection of bright colours or made-to-order. In the centre of Hugh Town, St. Mary’s Tamarisk draws artists from all over, showcasing a love of art hosted in an enviable destination. Artists in residence are from Scilly and Cornwall and celebrate their surroundings through fused glass, paintings, pottery, felt and jewellery.  

Richard Pearce Artist Studio

Stoll around the West of Bryher near Great Par and you will find Richard's tiny studio, originally used from the mid 1800’s to house the gig Golden Eagle. If you’re lucky you can catch Richard paining his next creation.
