Oriel Hicks, a stained and fused glass artist at Phoenix Craft Studios on St. Mary’s, has shaped Scilly’s craft scene for over 30 years. Trained in traditional leaded glass, she transitioned to kiln‑fused work in 2004. Her vibrant small‑scale pieces, sun‑catchers and commissioned church windows capture the island’s clear light and coastal hues. She also co‑founded Tamarisk Gallery.
