Richard's distinguished 27-year career in the Royal Navy saw him serve in a variety of key roles. His passion for shipwreck exploration began in 1947 when he taught himself to dive in the River Thames. Since then, he has dived on hundreds of wreck sites across the globe, driven by a lifelong fascination with underwater discovery.
